About Us
Willamette Valley Animal Hospital is proudly led by Eddy Suchy, DVM, CVA, and Carlus Pollard, MBA — partners in life and business who are dedicated to carrying forward the long-standing, family-centered tradition of WVAH in the Gladstone and Clackamas communities.
Dr. Eddy Suchy graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and joined the WVAH team in 2014 at the original Salem location. Her passion, leadership, and commitment to high-quality medicine were instrumental in opening the Gladstone clinic in 2018. In 2021, Dr. Suchy purchased WVAH of Gladstone and invited Carlus to join the leadership team, bringing his strong background in business management and a talent for building positive, people-centered workplaces. Together, they opened the Clackamas location in 2024, expanding the WVAH family to two thriving clinics.
WVAH has always been a true family business. Almost 30 years ago, the original hospital group was founded by a husband-and-wife veterinary team — two pillars of their community — and we are honored to continue the tradition of family-led, community-focused care. Many of our team members have been part of the WVAH family for more than a decade, and we are deeply committed to maintaining a workplace that is warm, supportive, and welcoming. We believe that when our staff feel valued, respected, and at home, our clients and patients feel it too.
Across both WVAH Gladstone and Clackamas locations, our mission is simple: to make exceptional, modern veterinary medicine accessible to everyone. We strive to deliver this care with compassion and integrity. We want every client to feel heard and appreciated, and every pet to receive individualized, thoughtful care.
When Carlus isn’t managing the day-to-day operations of two busy clinics, he can often be found immersed in music — a talented DJ since his college days, he brings rhythm and energy wherever he goes. Eddy loves cooking, especially Middle Eastern and Caribbean dishes, and enjoys tending to and researching her ever-growing indoor plant collection. Together, they share a rich family life with their two children, two dogs and a cat. They look forward to eventually carving out time for big international adventures, but in the meantime make due with trips back home to Israel and Trinidad & Tobago.
At Willamette Valley Animal Hospital, we are honored to serve the pets and people of Gladstone and Clackamas, and we look forward to continuing the legacy of a true family practice for years to come.
